Hi, I’m Kiren!
I am a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working in mental health settings as a clinician, clinical leader, educator and a therapist. As a first-generation South Asian woman, I understand cultural nuances, and practice from a culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed lens.
My main therapeutic approaches include Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (Parts Therapy), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method for Couples. Based on individual needs, I also incorporate Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I, like many, am on my own journey of navigating what I now call my “imperfectly perfect” life. It didn’t always feel that way and with some of the experiences I went through with infertility, major life transitions and navigating changing relationships, I often was left feeling misunderstood or unseen. Therapy provided me with valuable insights and tools which helped foster a greater sense of happiness and fulfillment
I integrate my educational, clinical, and lived experiences when working with my clients and offer valuable insights from a place of compassion and curiosity.
